Police Exam - Prepare for your Physical Police Exam

You don’t only need to pass the written police exam to be a police officer.If you have your heart set out to be a police officer then you will need to prepare yourself and your body to go through a very rigorous ordeal. If you have passed the application stage and the written exam of the police recruitment process then the next stage is the physical exam. Now don’t think this physical test will be your run of the mill physical exam where you run a couple of meters and do some push ups and that’s it. If you think thats the way it will go then you are dead wrong.

The police physical test is designed to push you to the limits of your capabilities, it is made to make you squirm just thinking about what you have to do. Now there is a good reason why the physical exam is so rigorous. As a police officer you will be exposed to different situations where you have to run, jump, dodge bullets and anything being thrown at you. You also need to be very fit to be able assist other people and to apprehend undesirables. Now you can’t do that if you are not at tip top shape. You need to be at your very best shape if you want to be a police officer, you need to be always alert all the time even if you are not in duty.

Now if you are serious in becoming a police officer you will need to be physically fit because being in the force is very demanding. A lot of police officers die each year on the line of duty and you need to be able to cope with all the stress that the job comes along with. So you need to prepare for the physical exam the same amount of time you prepare to the written police exam of the police test.
